"Since childhood, each of us has been trained in the art of wearing a mask. This mask, like a physical one, is designed to deflect, hide, and prevent the outside world from seeing what lies underneath. Many of us are carrying a tremendous amount of pain behind a mask. It's time for us to begin to deal with the hidden wounds from our past, so God can heal us." --Jocelyn Jones

He has spent the last seventeen years studying biology while getting his Masters from the University of Kentucky and teaching at Madison Central High School for a decade. Sally and I met to catch up at an outdoor café in Lexington. As we were sipping on iced tea she shared with me this huge skeleton in her closet that put a lump in my throat the size of Jumbo the elephant. I watched the tears roll down her face.
