I'm not sure about you, but I am running one particular race that I cannot quite seem to win! NOT YET ANYWAY! And it has to do with losing only a FEW pounds! I have developed a bit of a bad habit of late night munching that is getting the best of me plus I am post menopausal - a really, really bad combo! If you ever have wondered if it is TRUE that your metabolism slows down as you age, let me reassure you that what everyone says and all you hear is indeed true. It slows down to big time turtle speed, and it positively stinks! What "worked" for me for ages to stay healthy and trim.............is a complete bust for me these days! Get this: "two-thirds of women ages 40-59 and nearly three-quarters of women over 60 are overweight" BUT I am determined not to be a part of the more positive, healthy statistic, the one-third group and the one-quarter category). Apparently after menopause women gain about 1.5 lbs each year! GEESH! What's a gal to do?! I have an idea for a 7 day challenge. Do you want to join me? Why 7 days? Well, because we have to set short-term goals in order to reach our long-term goal. We will devote ONE week, just ONE week starting on June 1, 2019, to see if we can jump start the process of making a positive change in the right direction for our overall health and well-being. We will look at our weight loss or maintenance in terms of smaller, bite-size (ha!) weekly increments. We need a tribe to encourage us along the way and hold us accountable. How can you join?
