What happens when a visionary musician dares to blend rock opera with faith-filled storytelling? You get Bill Mullin—an artist whose work is transforming hearts and minds through a genre-defying, spirit-lifting journey of sound and soul.
I recently had the honor of interviewing Bill on the Choose 2 Think Podcast, and to say that our conversation was memorable would be an understatement. Bill's deep insights into music, Christianity, creativity, and the power of community revealed the heartbeat behind his groundbreaking projects: As I Recall F()rever and The Next Humanity.

About Bill

Bill Mullin is a visionary producer, musician, and storyteller based in Kansas City, Missouri. With over four decades of experience in the music and media industries, Bill began his creative journey as a rock drummer and evolved into a studio engineer, live audio expert, and brand development leader. He has led multi-million-dollar organizations, developed faith-based media, and collaborated with Grammy-level talent across genres. At the heart of his work is a deep commitment to using music as a tool for reflection, healing, and spiritual growth. His groundbreaking podcast musical As I Recall F()REVER—a five-act rock opera featuring 25 original songs—blends orchestration and storytelling to explore themes of identity, loss, faith, and purpose.

Bill is also the creative force behind The Next Humanity, a collaborative initiative designed to emotionally and spiritually engage listeners through experiential storytelling. Drawing on inspiration from Ecclesiastes and other Biblical themes, his work invites audiences to consider eternity, community, and transformation. Through his company, Significant Media & Music, and his service on boards for homeless missions and women’s recovery homes, Bill’s life and artistry reflect a powerful union of faith, purpose, and innovation. His unique projects offer a first-of-their-kind musical and spiritual experience that stir the soul and inspire hope.

As I Recall F()rever—Where Orchestral-Electronica, Jazz, Country, & Pop Meet Redemption

Bill’s podcast, As I Recall F()rever, is not your average audio experience. It’s a bold and immersive musical narrative—a sort of modern-day rock opera with layers of emotional depth and spiritual undertones. Each episode is crafted to draw listeners inward, encouraging deep reflection while simultaneously pointing upward toward hope and healing.

In our conversation, Bill explained that music is not just sound—it’s soul medicine. It gives us permission to pause, feel, and process. It offers a mirror to our lives while nudging us toward growth. "Music gives us that wonder," he said, encapsulating the way sound can stir something sacred inside us.

The Next Humanity—A Vision for a Better Tomorrow

Bill also shared his vision for The Next Humanity, a companion YouTube project that combines music, art, and activism to ignite change and inspire unity. The idea? That humanity can evolve not just technologically, but spiritually—if we’re willing to confront the pain, embrace love, and pursue connection with one another and with God.

This theme of transformation echoed throughout our podcast episode. Bill reminded us that “life is hard, not fair,” but within the difficulty, music and community become lifelines. And purpose? It’s not just something you find—it’s something you live, day by day, note by note.

Faith, Creativity, and Community: The Heart of the Message

One of my favorite parts of our conversation was when Bill opened up about the role of faith in his creative journey. His music is infused with Biblical themes and messages of hope, often drawing on the command to "love thy neighbor." These aren’t just lyrics—they’re life principles.

Here are just a few of the powerful takeaways from our episode:
  • Music is a tool for healing and emotional clarity.
  • Faith is a compass, guiding both art and life.
  • Community and connection are essential for transformation.
  • Personal storytelling helps others feel seen and known.
  • Even in the darkest times, there is hope.

Whether you’re in a season of grief, longing for deeper purpose, or simply searching for a new way to worship and reflect, Bill’s work offers a fresh and fearless invitation to engage your heart and mind more fully.
